COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Update 24/03/2019

We are sorry to announce that the Chalgrove VE 75 Celebration 10K on Friday 8th May 2020 has been cancelled.

We do this with real sadness – the run is such an important event for all our runners, helpers, and the Village Festival – but we feel that with the escalating Coronavirus situation it is the right thing to do.  We are sure you will understand.

We intend to automatically defer all entries received to date until the next running of the race, which is scheduled for the May Day Bank Holiday on Monday 3rd May 2021.

If you would prefer to receive a refund we would be happy to accommodate your request. Please email with your details and we will arrange this for you.  However, while we work through the implications of cancelling our run, we do ask for your patience and understanding as refunds may take a little time.

View our course in less than 5 minutes !!

We are proud to boast one of Oxfordshire's most scenic courses with an undulating 10K single lap race through local villages and the surrounding South Oxfordshire countryside.  The start and finish is at the Chalgrove Village Festival ground and there will be a drink station just past the 5K marker.  Check out our Photo Gallery to view previous races.

When VE Day dawns on 8th May 2020 it will be 75 years since the guns fell silent at the end of the war in Europe and to honour this important event the 11th running of the annual Chalgrove Festival 10K has been renamed as the ChalgroVE 75 Celebration 10K.

The event is run in support of the annual Chalgrove Village Festival which will also be celebrating the VE Day 75th Anniversary, and we would love you to bring your friends and families along. In previous years there has been plenty to see and do, with many activities: arena displays, funfair, beer tent, food and much more.  The ChalgroVE 75 Celebration 10K will be a truly memorable way to spend the Bank Holiday for runners and their families.

We also provide parking for a small charge (passed on to local charities) which is only 5-10 minutes walk along a country footpath, but if you have friends and family who may have difficulty using the footpath please contact us in advance.

For 2020's race, as in previous years, Barry Cornelius plans to take photographs of this race for publication on his website and for possible use by the press. You will be able to download his photos free of charge.  If you do not wish your image to appear as a significant part of any photograph that he publishes on the web or provides to the press, please write NO across your race number. If you are under 18, please ensure that your parent/carer is happy for photos of you taken at the race to be published on the web.  Red markers will be provided at the Race HQ for this purpose.
